Answer Review
This North America Capitals Quiz helps learners practice country and capital pairs across Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
The default set uses 23 sovereign country entries, a practical classroom-style format for North America capital practice. You can also focus only on Central America, the Caribbean, or the mainland-and-Central-America set.
What This Quiz Covers
North America capital quizzes can be trickier than they first appear. Many learners remember the largest cities first, but capitals are not always the biggest or most famous cities. The United States uses Washington, D.C., not New York City. Canada uses Ottawa, not Toronto. Belize uses Belmopan, not Belize City.
The quiz also includes Caribbean island countries where capital names are easy to mix up, such as Saint John’s, Basseterre, Roseau, and Kingstown.

- Saint Kitts and Nevis uses Basseterre, while Saint Vincent and the Grenadines uses Kingstown.
- Trinidad and Tobago uses Port of Spain, a name that can be confused with Spanish or European geography.
